Why put Collagen in Coffee?
For you newbies warming up (puns are way too easy) to the idea of adding collagen to coffee — let’s first address the craze.
Why do people put collagen powder in coffee? Well, it’s layered. Let’s start with the convenience factor.
Simplicity.
There are multiple ways to incorporate collagen peptides into your daily nutrition plan (see How to take Collagen Powder). This collagen coffee recipe — along with our 50+ Collagen Recipes — are proof that collagen powder is versatile and easy to mix in a variety of food and drinks (especially hot drinks).
Collagen powder dissolves very easily in hot water, tea, and of course coffee. Drop in a scoop, stir for 30 seconds, done. And since most collagen powders are colorless/unflavored/odorless (like our unflavored multi collagen peptides powder), you can obtain all of the benefits of collagen powder without changing much to your daily morning routine.
There’s not only a boost of nutrition with all the wonderful protein and amino acids, but there’s also a boost to your confidence knowing you’re starting your day in a healthy way.
But, don’t take our word for it. See Instagram Stories from our customers

Like, um, coffee.
If you’re using a high quality, unflavored, colorless, odorless collagen powder — your coffee sipping experience shouldn’t change. It shouldn’t adjust the aroma, flavors, or texture. Just like the classic Louis Vuitton handbag that will FOREVER be in your wardrobe, sometimes a girl needs upgraded (or at least some variety). And that’s why we’re going to show you how to make collagen coffee (3 different ways) so you can enjoy America’s beverage of choice your way!
Now, let’s get into the different ways you can make your collagen and coffee!
How to make Collagen Coffee (3 different ways)
If we all liked our coffee the exact same way, there wouldn’t be a Starbucks. And this world would be pretty boring.
Good thing we don’t.
Us coffee connoisseurs know what we like (and what we don’t). So in interest of appealing to the masses, here are 3 ways you can take your collagen and coffee:
- Basic Coffee & Collagen
- Bulletproof Coffee
- Bulletproof Latte
Of course, we know there are more ways to take your collagen and coffee — but these 3 seem to cover a lot of grounds ground (I told you the puns are limitless!)
Option #1: Basic Coffee & Collagen
For you purists that don’t like to mess with a good thing. It doesn’t get much simpler than this. Brew your coffee, add the collagen. Done.
Though technically a competitor, we love the Bulletproof brand of coffee.
Option #2: Bulletproof Coffee
If you are an intermittent fast-er or sports enthusiast, you’ve heard of Bulletproof Coffee. The bulletproof diet recommends:
Eating foods high in fat, moderate in protein, and low in carbohydrates; the foundation is “Bulletproof Coffee”, made with grass-fed unsalted butter and either coconut oil or medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs)
To make Bulletproof coffee, simply combine 8-10oz of brewed coffee with 1 tsp to 1 tbsp Coconut Oil or MCT Oil, 1 tsp grassfed butter, and 1 scoop CB Supplements unflavored multi collagen powder. Use a frother, get this one on Amazon for $10.
Option #3: Bulletproof Latte
If you aren’t a purist and love yourself a delicious latte, we got you. You can make a latte with a 1/2 cup unsweetened almond, cashew, or coconut milk or 2 Tbsp Half & Half, and 4-8 drops of English Toffee Stevia. Whatever your choice, you just throw all of it into a blender (over the top with a towel) and blend for about 15 seconds.
From there it gets interesting. With the addition of a few spices you can turn your coffee and collagen into a Tumeric Latte, a Pumpkin Spice Something, an Eggnog Extravaganza, and more.

Instructions (for all 3 options)
- Brew coffee how you like it (I like using a French Press because it feels fancy)
- Throw all other ingredients into a blender, cover the lid with your hand and a towel, blend on HIGH for 30 sec.
- Pour mixture into cup, sprinkle extra spice and a SMALL dash of Pink Himalayan Salt on top to amp up the flavor.
Recipe Tips
- I mentioned this above, but it bears repeating — hot liquid is HOT. And it will burn you if you aren’t careful. Especially when you are blending it with other things that make it expand. So, be careful as you add the hot coffee to your blender, and be sure to hold the lid down with a towel in between you and the blender top, as it might explode off if you don’t.
- The taste of coffee is subjective. As such, these recipes just serve as a base of ingredients from which you can feel free to play a little. You may need a few extra drops of Stevia, or a tsp more butter. So, don’t fret if the proportions I offered aren’t just right for you. Enjoy the process of discovering your very own favorite collagen & coffee combination!
